This 140-acre family-owned and -operated farm in southern Georgia produces award-winning cheeses are made from the milk of our very own goats and Jersey cows.
The Sweet Grass folks tell their story best:
“In recent years we discovered that the way we had produced milk in the past did not provide the life we wanted or even the best tasting or highest quality milk. So, as people sometimes do in the middle of their careers, we bailed out of conventional dairying to pursue a better way to farm.
“Our cows no longer live in barns on concrete. They live outdoors, get exercise, and enjoy grazing lush pastures just as cows on farms are supposed to. We maintain sustainable, biological farming practices that always nourish the soil life first
