host a book signing Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

[singlepic=11,320,240,,left]I can’t decide which classic Savannah recipe to try first. One thing is certain, I’ll return time and time again to pull recipes from this newest volume by Savannah cookbook author and food historian Damon Lee Fowler.

In “The Savannah Cookbook,” Fowler eschewed the city’s many popular restaurants and their traditional interpretations of “Savannah cuisine.” Instead, he scoured the recipe boxes belonging to the city’s most prominent hosts and hostesses — and assembled a collection of recipes that is quintessential Savannah.
