Eos Restaurant and Wine Bar Small Plates Make A Big Impression

Savannah artist Marcus Kenney and two groups of well wishers were celebrating his current exhibit “Yes No Maybe So,” with dinner and wine at Eos Restaurant and Wine Bar, the intimate little restaurant on Habersham Street.
But Kenney’s artistry wasn’t the only reason to celebrate – the dishes Ms. Lamb and I sampled were “best of show.”
Shelley Smith and Brian Torres teamed up to open Eos in this former bank building a couple of months ago. Named for the Greek Goddess of the Dawn, this little eatery has been aggressive with special events like wine tastings and wine dinners – and has quickly earned sound legs – despite its detractors.
This is small plates dining – not exactly tapas but not exactly a glutton’s paradise. Some guests have complained to me that their dishes weren’t filling – and certainly not worth the entr
