Chef Cynthia Creighton Jones of Cape Creations Catering and Tim Rutherford Savannahfoodie.com held an unofficial “Battle of the Tenderloins” to help feed guests at the rededication of Savannah’s Ronald McDonald House.
About 75 supporters and volunteers attended the event, held at the Ronald McDonald House on the site of Memorial Health University Hospital. The open house marked the completed makeover of the house and honored donors who sponsored the rehab. Additional support for the Ronald McDonald House comes from operators who own more than 40 McDonalds’ restaurants in Coastal Georgia. The facility has 10 rooms to accomodate families of children who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Chef Cynthia prepared Blackened Beef Tenderloin on Sourdough Crostini with Spicy Mayo and Corn Relish.
Tim visited his herb garden early this morning to harvest rosemary and mint. He served Rosemary Roasted Pork Tenderloin marinaded in Apple Juice and Dijon — and dressed with Apple-Mint relish.
