Bruery brewmaster, beers in Noble Fare dinner

The Bruery founder and brewmaster Patrick Rue will be the special guest at a dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 6:30 p.m. at Noble Fare.

Rue has earned high praise in the media for his unique interpretations of traditional Belgian-style beers. For this event, beers being poured will include Orchard White, Saison de Lente, Saison Rue, Mischief and Rugbrød.

Duckhorn Tasting, Sale At Ruth’s Chris

Ruth’s Chris Savannah Beverage Manager Steve Horner says the Bay Street restaurant will host a tasting and sale of Duckhorn wines on Tuesday, Dec. 8, beginning at 6 p.m.

For $25, participants will get to taste from five Duckhorn wines: Sauvignon Blanc, Goldeneye Pinot Noir, Merlot, Parraduxx blend and the Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve.

Holly Day Cheers Downtown On Nov. 27 Offers A World Tour Of Wine

The Savannah Convention and Visitors’ Bureau has expanded its holiday downtown festivities and rebranded the event as “Holly Days.”
The two-day event now includes a Friday, Nov. 27, wine tasting dubbed Holly Day Cheers. Participants will walk Broughton street, stopping in one of four tasting tents that will feature wines of The Americas, Spain and Italy, France and Germany and Australia and New Zealand.
Admission wristbands will be for sale preceding the event at a booth near the intersection of Abercorn and Broughton streets.

Local 11 Ten Dinner Showcases New Italian Wine Importer

Uva Imports is a new importer of boutique Italian wine producers. Most of their portfolio has never seen the shores of the U.S. This dinner will showcase Local 11 Ten Chef Jeff Rodgers cuisine along with artisan Italian wines. Special guest and importer Marion Saxon will be on hand to discuss these new wines.
